Hailing from Malaysia, previously based in Naarm, now living in Berlin. Different Shades has been making a name for herself as a highly versatile DJ and producer in Australia as well as in the international scene. She is known for her genre-bending selections and palette of futuristic high-tech sounds, psychedelic rhythms and deep atmospherics. Different Shades has contributed sensational mixes on Animalia, Butter Sessions & Steeplejack along with releases under revered labels such as Amniote Editions and Ute. She co-founded the event/AV collective LOADING_ERROR, directing immersive parties along with curating their sound. As well as incepting a new label called Life Form with regular collaborator and close friend LOIF that is in the works for their first release next year.
