With a keen ear for bass heavy rhythms, IDM and the deeper and sometimes darker shades of techno, Kia impressively glides through genres and emotions in exciting and often unexpected ways.
Her obvious talent for weaving musical narratives has clearly been recognised, having already constructed revered mixes for notable national and international labels such as Nous’klaer, Steeplejack and Patterns of Perception. Due to the popularity of these mixes, one might think that Kia’s talent lies mainly in faceless bedroom DJing, however, it’s her presence behind the booth that really makes her stand out. Recent bookings supporting techno giant Mama Snake and the underground aficionado Nicolas Lutz are a part of a growing list of impressive gigs Kia is being slated for.
With an upcoming stint in Europe and a number of exciting shows on the horizon, Kia is without a doubt one to keep tabs on.
